INTERNSHIP AT NATURALBUILD

The 21st Century vernacular Shangri-la
The project is situated in a remote location at the foothill of Alaša Ayula across more than 3,000 acres. The program for this sites includes a luxury resort, residences,  multi-functional conference center, specialty restaurant, camp, and a bookstore among others. Indeed, the landscape anchors the mentioned program through the proposed, farm and Turandot Winery with a digital grape planting system. Hence, the project offers new micro-economies: a new supply chain from production, research, to recreation. The luxury hotel incorporates local customs and  traditional Alaa Ayula culture for both tourists and residents , creating a close-to-nature life experience.

As a design intern in the team, I engaged in the entire design process, from schematic design to design development. I was also responsible for the entire residential area and masterplan during the schematic design phase.

* Unless otherwise noted, all drawings are done by Chenhao Luo.
